Michael P. Boggs is a Judge of the Georgia Court of Appeals and is a former nominee to be a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. ==Biography==
Boggs received a Bachelor of Arts in 1985 from Georgia Southern College. He received a Juris Doctorate in 1990 from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. From 1990 to 1998, he served as an attorney in private practice at a number of law firms. From 1998 to 2005, he was a sole practitioner. In 2000, he was elected as a Democrat to the Georgia House of Representatives, holding office until 2004. From 2004 to 2012, he served as a Superior Court Judge of the Waycross Judicial Circuit of the First Judicial Administrative District of Georgia of the Georgia Superior Court, where he established and presided over the court's felony drug court program.
